Jacket for Levis
Description
I found a competition put on by Levis, the brief was to design a jacket using Levis signature components ie: rivets, dark denim, buttons, etc and the above is what I came up with. Unfortunately just before I was about to send the completed designs to enter the competiion I read the terms and conditions and realised the comp was only open to American citizens...Doh!!! NOTE 2 SELF: Always read terms and conditions before starting work.

Design a vest/jacket/poncho in one
Description
I find that when I am illustrating, sometimes the illustrations inspire an item of clothing. I did this illustration not really thinking of a finished garment but then one appeared. One day soon I will make this jacket. This fashion design section is where I will be showing the illustrations that inspire clothing. Soon these illustrations will become actual garments so stay tuned as I develop a range. I have lots of ideas and it is time they jumped out of my head onto the page and then into reality. A dream I have had for a long time. Exciting!!! :)

This is the flat of the drawing to the left. I imagine it to be embroidered with feathers. Black on black, with a beautiful silk lining.
Description
This drawing is carrying on from the flight inspiration. It was done when I was doing the other designs to the left. I need to find a way to make the sleeve work in production. I think it could but would not stand up like in this drawing. I want to play around with different t-shirt effects, styles and prints that really flatter women but are also edgy and strong, using beautiful light weight fabrics.
